Audible provided us again an amazing opportunity to create the visual assets for their campaign to promote their special programming celebrating the 50th anniversary of the birth of Hip-Hop. A big task and a big responsibility that we took with joy and respect.

Thinking

The 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop demands an epic, bold and respectful approach. We wanted to convey the historic significance of this celebration by creating a visual narrative that felt emotional and memorable. The biggest challenge was to create this story without using an recognizable faces of the artists that make this celebration possible.

Doing

The exploration for this project included many paths to convey uniqueness with an epic and respectful tone. The color palette as well as the use of shapes. textures and photos. allowed us to build a language, a vocabulary, that gave the team the flexibility to create different assets for different mediums that felt coherent and impactful.
