FX // Black History Month // Campaign
On this new collaboration with the exceptionally talented team at FX, through editorial and a graphics package, the task was to give shape to a series of profound reflections shared by actors about what they’d like their legacy to be. The footage was captured during different shoots under different circumstances, challenging us to find a clear and coherent look.
Thinking
We wanted to create bold, beautiful, vibrant and fearless graphics to provide a visual narrative as strong as the ideas shared by the actors, while creating a memorable and coherent look. The need to completely replace the backgrounds was clear from the beginning, and that provided a clean canvas with limitless potential.
Doing
The first step was to create a cut with the strongest statements shared by the actors, and use that as our backdrop for the piece. We then started to explore design, focusing on the use of typography, bold colors and an organic style and feel. The end result was a vibrant and memorable combination of amazing ideas shared by talented actors enhanced by a bold and fearless visual narrative.
